    Sally Pizza Hut: Great Food

    by mina_honnelore Written Sep 21, 2003

The service is good as well as the food. The prices aren't bad, escpecially for the portions that they give you.
The atmosphere is very homey and comfortable. If you have a CD you want to listen to while eating, the waitresses will usually play it for you if you ask. The choice of couches vs. chairs is a definate plus.

Favorite Dish: The pizza here is great! Lots of cheese and a very bready soft crust. Just watch out for the pizza that has eggs on it, that is a bit odd.

    by A2002 Written Apr 20, 2003

There are many seafood restaurant in Dalian. Dalian is a place for seafood with many types of seafood which I have not tasted or seen before.

There is a few months of the year when it is not advisable to consume any shell fish.

  • Pizza King: Good Western Food

by BigXey Written Nov 8, 2002

This place is about the closest you can get to good Western food in Dalian (unless you go to the fancy hotels which always cost a pretty penny). It has a salad bar, pizza, sandwiches, etc. Even Chinese food, of course.

Favorite Dish: The mushroom soup and the vegetable macaroni. SOOO good. Avoid the pizza at all costs, however. NOT good. The chicken breast sandwich is also good, but it's not chicken breast, it's chicken salad.

My favorite restaurant is a bing (fried bread) place. The name in pinyin is Li Ji Xun Rou Da Bing (Ms. Li's Smoked Pork and Bing Restaurant). They give you smoked pork, onions, and hoisin sauce to spread around the bread and it's SO good.
It's CHEAP. I'd say around 11 yuan for a set of bing (4 pieces, with a ton of meat and onions) and a can of Coke. It's a small little restaurant, so the people actually know me there.

Favorite Dish: The bing. I do like Huo Guo a lot, but this restaurant doesn't have that. However, they have all the basic Chinese dishes like egg drop soup, gung bao ji ding (Kung Pao Chicken), and sweet and sour pork (gulao rou).
