To eat shell was not the only thing I did the first time in my life. Also to play golf. Maybe I should say: try to play golf.
Anyway, when we made that sightseeing tour at the coast our first stop was at the b%Golden Bay Golf Clubb%. I was very interesting surprised and I think, everyone who would have see me playing golf would still laugh....

The cleanest beach in Dalian. It may be a bit out of the way but it is worth the hour long tram ride. Clean water, clean sand, and pretty inexpensive.
Equipment: Bring your swimming suit and a towel. If you burn easily, don't be dumb, bring some sun screen. A good idea is to go as a group and pack a lunch. There are restaurants there but it is definately cheaper to bring a picnic.

If you are brave and healthy enough, try this sport activity --swimming in cold winter. Many old people enjoy it. But I will never ,ever try it. Because I will become ice soon with the chill wind. What about you?

Let's go for a leisure cycle.
Cycling around Xing Hai Gong Yuan is kinda fun. The roads are spacious but unfortunately you will not be able to cycle up Bing Hai Lu as bicycles are prohibited.
Equipment: Rented bicycle.
The rental rate of the bicycle is as follows:
10 RMB for 1 hour
20 RMB for 2 hours
30 RMB for 3 hours
There are 3 seater bicycles available and it seems difficult to pedal :)

You can play bowling here. and there is another place nearby where u can play billiards. The price is accetable, about 20RMB each person a game.

There are some golf courses in Dalian, such as Jin Shi Tan and Bang Chui Dao . You will enjoy the playing as well as the fresh air and natural scenery.

Dalian is also a football city. The football team( Dalian Shi De) is the champion team in China football league matches.
