Dalian Things to Do

  • Seaside Route

Not advisable in winter when it gets dark very quickly. The route curls uphill for quite a distance so unless you get to an early start, you may find yourself stranded in the middle of nowhere in the dark cold night.Notwithstanding, it is a beautiful walk where you can enjoy the sea breeze and beautiful scenery. Excellent for a romantic day out.

  • Be careful when eating seafood

You will see lots of seafood stands around Dalian, and it is tempting to try some seafood, like grilled fish or squid. Sometimes you can get pretty bad diarrhea from eating the seafood, because unlike the locals, your stomach can't handle it. And don't try any seafood raw if it is available!

As a foreigner the price you pay for any of the games goes from 5 RMB for the whole game for the locals to 5RMB for each dart you throw. DO NOT PAY, this happens even if you go with a local, the vendors say to the local (in Chinese) he is rich, he can afford it.
