Wunushan Milan Winery Company Limited. A surprise find near Huanren. A spotlessly clean installation with a guided tour in Chinese (although there are a few signs in English) and of course, the possibility to taste the wine. Ok, so China isn't well known for its wine, generally preferring very sweet 'grape juice' or baijiu... but there are a couple of dry red wines made here. There's also wines made from haws! I'm no expert, but it's interesting enough to wander around and taste what's on offer.

Actually I didn't go rafting on the river, but it looks great fun. It's not serious white water rafting, just a couple of people in a dingy. The ride is reasonably long and the scenery is beautiful. Rafting costs 50RMB.
You can go just to look around, which is free.
Be careful though, although you can buses out to the destination from Huanren (it's only 33kms but it took nearly 3 hours on the local, stop everywhere, bus) it's almost impossible to get a bus back. I had to try and hitch a ride (succeeded fortunately) as I had a 4pm bus to catch back in Huanren. Mostly only huge tour groups go there.

the expressway from xiaoshi to huanren is so-called red leaves road. on the road you can pass by several sites with most beautiful maples and other colorful trees. especially in octorber, driveing on the road is like walking in the heaven.

all the people know guilin, here be called small guilin. just one mountain have the same shape as guilin.

during the national day holiday, most mountain in benxi are colored by maple, and other trees. it's the best time you enjoy northeast scenery.

the long stream in huabozi mountain. nobody touch it and bother it forever, i hope.

it's a special georaphic place came into being at ice river time. thousands of big stone pile on the surface of huabozi mountain and the big plants can not grow there.
