Liaoyang Local Customs

The river through Liaoyang is being redeveloped and looks lovely where finished. Taichi, the traditional morning exercise in China is on the decline. What is popping up in various cities are the exercise equipment shown here. You can also see stones lying around. In the United States this would not be allowed for liability reasons. They were also scattered all over a nearby plaza. The reason is that through the day and especially during the evening, vendor's stands are all along the area selling everything from grilled meat to clothes and taking orders for cell phone service. So why the rocks you ask? Why to hold down the tarps and sheets for roofs on the stands of course. Very logical in China.
