Garden Night Show (Huayuan Zhi Ye in Chinese) is held nightly at Guilin Royal Garden Hotel along Linjiang Road. The show is basically a dancing and singing performances by the various ethnic cultural groups in China. There are usually more than 10 ethnic groups performing in the show nightly.
Garden Night Show is usually sold in a package with local Chinese dinner. It is a two hour show between 8.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. You may enquire from the hotel reception where you are staying regarding this colourful cultural show in Guilin. Don't miss the show when you are in Guilin!

Wang Fujing Street is a lovely night spot - certainly one of the best night spots we have come across in Beijing! Shopping in this magnificent street can be considered a shopper's paradise. Many famous fashion wear can be bought from this street. It is especially beautifully and brightly-lit up at night. Kindly flip through my photos on the right to see these lovely pictures! Usually, a group of people will go out together and pay for a large room, and then all take turns singing songs with a large television screen showing accompanying video and lyrics at the center... In Hong Kong and Shanghai, you can find plenty of bars that are no different than what you would find in Western countries, and with about the same prices... But as for your standard big city mainland bars, there are some differences... The Chinese don't usually drink wine or mixed drinks at the bar... Instead, you can generally choose from a few different kinds of beer, usually Chinese beers, and a couple of import beer options... Another thing, there is sometimes entertainment available, usually in the form of singers, as seen in this picture here... And most Chinese bars also have a dice game available which involves calculating the odds of certain combinations of numbers turning up on the dice, and the the losers must drink... On my first trip to China, I stumbled onto one of these places completely by accident in Beijing... Hostess bars are basically a front for prostitution, athough on the surface, they seem to simulate the environment of a regular bar, with alcohol being served, wait staff, disco dance floor, entertainers, etc... A sweet , two story restaurant with JAZZ!!!!!
If you enjoy Jazz and Blues , check this place out O.K – Cajun and crayfish in central Beijing? If proof were needed of the rapid expansion of the global village it can be found in this authentic Louisiana-style hot spot on Chaoyang Park. Ex-pats looking for a gumbo and jambalaya fix love it, but locals do too, taking seats in the old fashioned American bar area or in the second-floor dining space with its balcony. It’s not quite a Bourbon Street view but it’s close. Music is jazz and blues and a wild once-a-year Mardi Gras party that packs the place out too. And if spicy Cajun food is not your thing, they do fun flirty cocktails. Try the sweet C and creamy Mississippi Dream, containing Baileys and Kahlua.

The development of mainland Chinese discos is still in its early stages... There is a general approximation of Western style disco standards in place at most Chinese discos, with excellent sound and light systems, and spacious dance floors... But there isn't yet much in the way of theme discos or theme nights, such as you would find in Western countries... Like Chinese bars, discos usually only offer beer and soft drinks to drink... There are more and more bars, discos and Karaoke houses opened up in the cities.
The hottest nightlife for Chinese is still Karaoke as it's the way for having the fun with groups. We like to be in the groups.
Bars and discos are transferring from western countries. A large number of Chinese still don't go to those places as bar life is not our culture. Recently, I have observed most of bars and discos are transformed into different styles than the real one in the western countries. There are no real clean bars and discos in China as you may find prostitutes are visible in every bars and discos. Sometimes, going to bars(often) is still regarded as a bad habit of a Chinese person. But if you really want to, sometimes you have to feel alright with all the dirty deals happening around you.
