Hard Rock Cafe: B E I J I N G

by keeweechic

The restaurant entrance features a bright red 1960 vintage Cadillac, a huge neon-lit guitar, and marble piano keys that pave the way to the Cafe. The interior offers an 8-metre-wide dome, painted with images of Jimi Hendrix, Chuck Berry, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Little Richard, Elvis Presley, and popular tourist spots such as Tiananmen Square and Temple of Heaven. The guitar-shaped bar, measuring 11.5 metres, is truly a masterpiece. The centre stage is set against a huge stained glass wall measuring 4.6 metres by 4.8 metres

by Fong-Mantus

Today Shanghai is a brand new city with many foreign investments competing fairly and equally in the market. New financial center, new airport, many highway and industrial complex have been built. It is still so colorful and dynamic but without drug, prostitute, foreign concessions and gangsters. It is more healthy and pleasant than the old Shanghai

Shanghai Acrobatics: Shanghai Acrobatics

by darthmilmo

The Acrobatics at Shanghai are not to be missed. They are held each night and last for about 2 hours. I'm sure a 2-D picture won't make this show justice, but one can begin to imagine how amazing this show is by looking at the pics in my travelogue.

Best nightlife is an evening...

by PeterSt

Best nightlife is an evening along the waterfront of Xiamen island facing Gulang Yu island, or take the ferry to Gulang Yu. Gulang Yu, separated from the main island by the 500-metre-wide Egret River, with an area of 177 square kilometres, enjoys a lauditory title 'Garden on the Sea.' The original name of the islet was Yuan Zhou Zi. In the Ming Dynasty it was renamed Gulang, meaning ''drum waves', because the holes in the southwestern reefs hit by the waves will make sounds like the drumVery peaceful, great parks, huge rock, and no cars!

by omar_samra

People tend to spend a lot of time lingering in the streets and walking about. Malls seem to be a popular hang out area for many Chinese. Kar-oke places are very popular, also the opera and acrobatics in Beijing and Sichuan Depending on what part of China you are, the clubbing is very different. It can get from very cheesy to really trendy. Places like Beijing, Kunming and Shanghai are definetly up there.

Chris_Dahlia's Nightlife Tip

by Chris_Dahlia

As I notice, nightlifes in China are very different from place to place. In the inner part and up to the north, people usually go to bed early and no much activities at night. Shops close quite early too at night. But in Canton, people tell me, all nights are lightened. I've heard Cantonese are known as their late-night habit. Even after midnight, you can still find almost all restaurants are full and streets are still so bright. I think it is quite similar to the nightlife style in Spain.
