There are many markets in Chengyang (about 1 hour from Qingdao) The main outdoor market is awesome and has everything you need for home, food or clothing and everything in between!
There are also 3 large supermarkets, Da Run Fa (aka RT Mart), Lotte Mart and Guo Hua (or Leader)
Busses are cheap to go about town (1RMB) and the 502 goes from City Hall in Chengyang to City Hall in Qingdao for only 2RMB)

Enjoy it. It's been a great 2 months here.
