The temple to the "eight fashionable gods" by the sea in Penglai is worth the trip. It simply looks like the type of ancient architecture that we imagine exists in China. In an hour and a half, most of it can be seen and photographed. Don't forget to try the free tea at the tea house.
There is also Penglai Pavillion, a walled city that can be toured on foot. Allow at least 3 hours if you want to see it all.

The small island talk about the story of the Eight Immortals in the legend. They are Lv Dongbin, Tie Guaili, Lan Caihe, Cao Guojiu, Han Xiangzi, Zhang Guolao, zhong Liquan and He Xiangu.

Penglai Pavilion has another name is fairyland in the world. On the Pavilion, if there are fog upon the sea, lucky enough, you can see the mirage.
