You'll find these shops selling small stele stones with inscriptions on them all along the main road that leads from the Dai Temple to Tai Shan. I've got no idea what they say or what they might be used for but they're a bit too heavy to take home as souvenirs!

What to pay: Chinese maps for Taishan/Tai'an have an asking price of 4 RMB but we managed to bargain it down to only 1 RMB, and we bought only one!
