Generally speaking, the Bund usually represents 24 architecture along East Zhong Shan Road (No. 1 - 33). 10 of these are bank buildings. Others being commercial buildings, national organizations, press, restaurants & clubs.

Most architecture on the Bund were built before 1937 & had not undergone much changes since. Presently, the Bund has become the center of international finance & trade.

Take a tour up ORIENTAL PEARL TV TOWER: Tallest building in Asia, 3rd highest in the world! Completed on Oct. 1, 1994.

Total Height = 468 m.

At the top level (350 m), you get to see the entire Shanghai city. Great views & a trip worth taking. Go around lunch hour & the ticket will entitle you to a nice buffet too!

love it up here, will return again on my next trip :)))

Visit the tallest office building JIN MAO TOWER cum hotel (The Grand Hyatt is located from 53-87 story) pictured here on the right. Also, you may like to wind down the day at Cloud 9 - World's highest bar which offers fantastic panorama of a neon-lit Bund at night. Cloud 9 is located on the 87th floor of Grand Hyatt Hotel in Jin Mao Tower.

There appeared to be families living on many of these boats that were tied up in the Wusong River. I enjoyed just walking along and watching how people lived and worked.

Shanghai is a modern city now. But on the Bund you can still see the old buildings, which were built by the Europeans. These highrise-buildings were meant to be supermodern hundred years ago.
