This is one of the best indian restaurants. we loved the kebabs! The kebabs are served on the live grille at the table. The staff is good & would give recommendations.

My favorite foodie haunt in Shanghai is Yunnan Road (aka: Yummie Food Road). It's walkable distance from the New Harbour Service Apartments. You'll find delightful local restaurants featuring food from all areas of China, and the prices are great! You won't see many tourists there, which I consider to be a major plus.
Favorite Dish: It's all good!

Local gourmet food. While I love to get outside of the hotel it was very relaxing to get a meal at this very nice restaurant inside the Jianguo Hotel
Favorite Dish: This time I truly enjoyed the dumplings. Before I also enjoyed the noodles.

This is one of a chain of restaurants that you can find everywhere in Shanghai. The one I go to is on Shanxi Nan Lu near the City Hotel.
The food is good and there is an English menu available that almost matches the Chinese menu.
If you don't know by now you should know that the menu in most restaurants is much more complete in the Chinese language. If you go with a Chinese friend, your food will be much better.
Favorite Dish: The steamed pomfret with preserved bean sauce is the best!
