Pu Dong is the 2nd airport of Shanghai, newer than Hong Qiao, but much faraway from the city. Take subway there is the fast and cheapest way.

We took the flight from Shanghai to Guilin with China Eastern Airlines as we wanted to make the most of our limited time In China.

Hope you either arrive to Shanghai or leave Shanghai by plane and the airport used will be Pudong: it is a very modern and beautiful airport.

Although we have heard horror stories of the service standards, we were pleasantly surprised that on both occasions, we met friendly and helpful stewardess for our trip to Shanghai.

Most of your flights will arrive at Pudong airport rather than Hongqiao airport.

This is the new international airport located in Pudong District. The old airport will be used for domestic uses only. The new Meglev train runs from this airport into Shanghai.

Shanghai PuDong International Airport. Opened in 1999 with built by a French designer, its check-in lobby design is beautiful!!!
