    The front of many of the caves has been blown away by the wind. Here you can see, how former columns look after hundreds of years with heavy wind.

    On some of the Buddha reliefs you can still see the original colors. As the former walls broke away today there are temples covering the painted reliefs to keep them save and the colors alive.

    The wall of the Wuzhon mountains is covered with about 50.000 Buddhas. There is also a monastery of the 17th century. Inside of some of the caves there are not only reliefs but also very fine Buddhist wallpaintings. It is not allowed to take photos of them as the flashlight would destroy the colors.

    it was good,it's only 2-3 kuai.it mades by potato flour,by slice it - just see picture below-boil. and come out with meat and tofu.for further information,ask the CITS staff - they know more than me.

    it's a beef blood noodle.taste like a rubber noodle, try !!!a very unique taste ( I won't say it's ?D‹h?jit's only 2yuan anyway ...I dunno what's the name of this food,but you can ask the CITS staff at station,they will help you and tell you where to buy this.

    Use this motor bicycle passenger for only ¥4(That price has not bargained yet) from datong central city to train station,it is more enjoyable and cold (even in summer).

    Use taxi around ¥7-8.

    Thousands and thousands of small and big Buddhas are carved into the yellow wall of the dry mountains around Datong. Buddhist monchs and pilgrims carved those relief, because they thought, that every little statue gives them more merits for their next live.
