Wangjiang means `viewing the river'. Located on the south bank of the Jinjiang River, Wangjiang Tower Park is an oasis of calm in the midst of a bustling metropolis. In the middle of the park is the Wangjiang Tower, dedicated to the female Tang dynasty poet Xue Tao. The 39m high tower consists of four storeys. The upper two storeys are octagonal and the lower two are square.
A white marble statue of Xue Tao stands in the park amidst a bamboo grove.

This has been a favoured site for river watching on the banks of the Fuhe River since prehistory. The three-storey wooden viewing pavilion near the Nine-Arches Bridge is set in a pleasant park which includes a bamboo forest containing 120 species of its kind .
