When leaving the Panda Conservation Centre - if you are waiting for a bus to return to Chengdu - beware of various taxi drivers and private drivers who will try to tell you that there are no buses returning to Chengdu - only organised coaches - this is a lie and they are only trying to make $$$$ or yuans.
Saying this - if you are a party of 4 or more sometimes it can be cheaper hiring a taxi than a coach - check it out firsts though and ensure there are meters on board and they are on.
Private drivers will pretty much charge what they want and I would say avoid these at all costs as you may end up lost with no way of getting home !!!

On my way back from Jiu Zhai Gou, I went to DujianYan and found the entrance fee of Y60 not worth it (especially compared to Jiuzhaigou). With only two hours to spend there I barely had time to just walk from the entrance to the exit gate at the other end. I also took the wrong path as I thought I would not have time to cross the river and walk along the other side. That side turned out to have all the points of interests. The route I took was merely a walk to the exit.

Thatched cottage of Du Fu turned out to be a big disappointment. The entrance fee of Y30 was steep considering that there wasn't anything really special inside and the restrooms can be detected from far away.
There are lots of nice Chinese calligraphy inside. However, if you don't know much about the poems, they are pretty boring.
