Daoba Things to Do

Luo Rong Meadow is locat in Yading protect circle in which the altitude is approximate 4200 metres. Hiking of riding along the road, a nameless river besides, there is extend little by little, and last, there is Luo Rong Meadow. In summer, it is covered by an kind of yellow flower. I think the flower is the famous tableland flower ---- Gesang. After rain, water togeter form small ponds which reflected the jokul. It is a magic picture that real jokul is in front of eyes and a reflected jokul in the water. Yellow flowers like a large carpet . At the as high as more than 4000 metres place, there are exist a paradise garden.

Bang He, I think it is mean gloam river because when it is sunset and sunshine irradiate sideling, the landscape is amazing.

Although in Daocheng, beautiful scenery is everywhere, gloam Bang river is outstanding for watching the yellow aspens. Photographer like taking photos in the morning and evening when the sunshine is golden with a appropriate angle. If it is a sunny day, Bang He looks like a dreaming picture appear in front of eyes.

Sang Dui is 20 kilometre far from the county seat. The most beautiful season is autumn. There is famous red sward turn to red in fall, like a large area of fire. The aspen appear yellow in fall, and the mountain still is green. Sang Dui River flow quitely and reflect the sunshine which seems glaring and refreshing. Even in other seasons, Sang Dui also is one of the most beautiful place in the world. No tourist was not be subdued by its beauty who have traveled here. It is like a painting. May be painting is not accurate, because I never seen a picture as beautiful as Sangdui.

The lake is called multicoloured lake that can be transform varible multiplicate colors. It is laying between the foots of Xian Nai Ri mountain and Yang Mai Yong mountain in which the altitude is approximate 4800 metres. The shape of lake is almost a circle, and the area is about 0.7 hektare. Modern glacier extend to the bank. Jokul is appear in the lake as inverted reflection in water, which emerge magical colors.

In Tibetan areas, it is reputed as famous as Yang Ba Yong Cuo in Tibet. In religion, tibetan people believe they can see preexistence and future life through the water. Well, I think the people who can see that must be a person who cultivate himself according to Buddha doctrine in a high level. I was not see my preexistence and future life. Only did I see my excitement and happyness at that time.

Bang Pu Lamasery is the most ancient lamasery in Daocheng that it is more than 900 years' history, 30 kilometre far from the county seat, in which the altitude is 3940 metres. It belongs to White Sect of Lamaism called bKa`-brgyud sect in Tibetan. The main diffusion way in White Sect of Lamaism is dictation which also is called Tantra.

The initiator of this lamasery is Gamaba Dusongranba.In Song Dynasty, Gamaba and his two classmates travel to Sangdui and see the mountain is high and the meadow is large. They decided to build a Lamasery in this place. Gamaba wanted to build the temple as a pigeon on the cliff, the bigger brother wanted to build as a panther lying in forest, and the younger brother wanted to build as a fox runing on pasture. Finally , the lamasery was built as a pigeon and a panther.

Milk Lake is translated from Erong Cuo called in Tibetian. It is an age-old glacier lake. Standing on the mountain look down, it looks like a drip. Its area is approximate a half of hektare. With jokuls around, the water is dark green, limpid and glittering. It is aquamarine as a piece of jade at the elevation of above 4500 metres.

In legend, its water can cure deaf-and-dumb disease which is reputed called holy lake. I can not sure the authenticity, but the I sure the water is good for health.

XianNairi is one of the three holy jokul in Yading in which altitude is 6032 meters. She locate in the northern who express the Guanyin Bodhisattva. At foot of XianNairi, there is a lake called pearl lake. Its water looks like emerald.

I think it looks like a big big big ice cream, isn't it? ^_^

Chang hai is not as famous as Danzeng Cuo or Resong Cuo. She is so shy that lay back of Yangmaiyong Peak quietly. Most tourist stop trip at Danzeng Cuo. Just a little people who feet to deep of hills can see it. Its form is long and narrow that people give it a name Chang hai. I don't know whether it is official name. I think, however, it is very fit to this quiet lake. Long and narrow as a special pearl. How many pearls full sprinkle in hills? I like walking without stop to looking for them.
