Favorite thing: There are 114 lakes with Jiuzhaigou Nature Reserve.
They are refered to as Hai Zi because the tibetian stay in high altitude and has never seen the sea (Hai). The lakes are therefore translated as "The Children of the Sea" (Hai Zi) or as small sea.
My favourite lakes are Fiver Coloured Lake, Five Flower Lake, Long Lake, Mirror Lake, Tiger Lake, Arrow Bamboo Lake.

Favorite thing: Due to the new traffic regulation that we must arrive by 12 noon, we had to travel to Jiuzhaigou via Mian Yang to be on time for our entry.
One of the must see in Jiuzhaigou is the Cai Ling which is the red autumn leaves. We were very lucky indeed to see a rare sight where the red autumn leave and full in full bloom on the mountain even at the end of autumn and begining of winter.
Our coach captain took the risk and stop the coach for a few minutes in order for us to take these beautiful red autumn leaves.

Favorite thing: Jiuzhaigou is formed by lakes, waterfalls, villages and rivers, the scenry area is scenery. so that shuttle buses is serviced from spot to spot, which is very user friendly.
The best season to visit there is Autumn, it is because after the rain in summer, the lake and waterfall would be more rich. Also the green, red and yellow leaves of trees will enrich the colors of the view.

Favorite thing: The name " Jiu zhai gou" means "9 villages valley". The name comes from 9 Tibetan villages in the valley. Since 1991 Jiuzhaigou is UNESCO World Nature Heritage.
Jiuzhaigou is situated about 400 km northwest of Chengdu. There is an airport inSongpan, from where a 1,5 hours busride takes you to the park.
The landscape characteristics are high mountains (Ganzigonggai, 4558 m), 114 lakes, rivers and waterfalls.
Rare animals are living here: for example the Giant Panda or the Sichuan Takin, some kind of monkeys and more (I do not know the names in English). I did not see any of this wild animals.
I found a list of all the lakes, waterfalls and mountains in the internet.

Favorite thing: If you are going to China, the first thing will be gosh they have very bad reputation for their toilets, well you may be wrong. In JiuZhaoGou national Park, they have high technology toilet that change the plastic seat cover after using it. Making it very clean and hygiene. But that only apply to tourist area. For most of the area, the toilet still need alot of improvement. ( You should know what i mean by this).
