    Mirror made of water

Mirror got its name for the surface without wave almost. You could see everything's shadow arround the lake. Just like a mirror made of water, the blue sky the clouds and the colourful trees...
In my opinion, the shadows are more beautiful than the real stuffs... don't you think so? :)

    Five-color Lake

The water is pretty limpid. You can see everything under the surface. The boles fell into the lake, and never disappear or perish. Since the water is full of Calcium.
The native people named this kind of boles in the lake as "Shushanhu" -- tree coral

    secret winter of Jiuzhaigou

In winter, Jiuzhaigou becomes especially tranquil and serene, poetic and picturesque. The mountains and forests are clad in white, the waterfalls and lakes are pure and clear, the ice layer on blue lake shines with wonderful wrinkles in the sunrise and sunset; and amidst the ice-clad waterfalls, small streams send out affecting music.
It's a pity, Jiuzhaigou will be closed after Dec. for the reason of safety. So it's a secret for us of the dreamworld in winter now.

Autumn view is the most beautiful, my favourite

Autumn is the most splendid season of Jiuzhaigou. The colourful leaves and forests are reflected on the bright and clear lakes and fallen leaves are floating on the surface of water; the sky is vast and brightly blue. The most beautiful sceneries created by nature present themselves before your eyes.

    spring of Jiuzhaigou

As spring comes, ice and snow in Jiuzhaigou begin to melt, the water is flooding and the mountain flowers are in full bloom; the soft and languid sun of spring is kissing the lake, the sprouts and your heart moved by nature.

    summer view of Jiuzhaigou

In summer, Jiuzhaigou is set off by green shades. The colourful lakes, flowing waters are combing the green leaves and water grass; the waterfalls like silver screens are expressing themselves most unscrupulously. Soft wind sways the Buddhist streamers, the tops of the trees and your heart as free as the flowing water.

    Diexihai

by akikonomu Written Aug 29, 2004

Enroute to Jiuzhaigou from Chengdu, the tour bus made a pitstop at this site. Diexihai roughly means Layered-Streams-Sea.

More like a reservoir meandering around mountains.

    Suspension Bridge

The further down the valley we went, the clearer became the heaven and the air was warmer. We had time to enjoy all those autumn leaves with great colors and clear rivers along the road.

    Stupa

We passed some tibetan villages. They all had wooden houses, prayer flags and stupas. I was very much impressed by the simple life, the small yaks and the friendly people, we met.

In the beginning there was still a lot of snow. It was a snow drizzle. The mountains looked as if covered with sugar. The way was easy to walk.
