One of the best views of Jiuzhaigou is at the Mirror Lake. Pictures are best taken in the early morning when there are no water ripples.
We were there in the afternoon when there is strong wind blowing. Still the scenery is worth taking a minute to enjoy the mountain, clear blue sky and the autumn trees.

The Arrow Bamboo Lake is where the movie The Hero was filmed. Director Zhang YiMou selected this site because of its open space and dark blue water.
This used to be the feeding site of giant pandas where large amount of arrow bamboo are grown.

The Reed Lake is a semi-swamp lake with thick weeds all over. The reeds are parting the deep blue lake.
In autumn and winter, reeds turn eye-striking golden yellow.
Reeds usually grow below an altitude of 800 meters. I wonder how they can surive in the high altitude of Jiuzhaigou?

I have only seen bonsai grown on soil but not a lake of bonsai.
At the potted landscape shoal, you will see a lake of bonsai growing on the river.
Some of the bonsai could be as tall as me or even taller.

There are three reasons or myth about the naming of Tiger Lake.
It stood next to the Shuzheng Waterfalls which roars like a tiger.
In late autumn, the reflections of the red autumn leaves and colorful hues creates a reflected image of the tiger stripes.
Tigers do appear out from the forest to have a drink by this lakeside.
It however seems like a piece of sunken wood in the lake.

Zechawa Village is not too far from Nuorilang Bus Terminal.
This is near to the place where we had our buffet lunch. You could just take a short walk from Nuorilang Tourist Service Centre and have a quick look at the environment that the villagers lived in.
The clusters of Tibetian log houses with religious flags and banners are where the Tibetian lived in. You may approach them secretly if you would like to stay over in the park.

The bus we took from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou was small and old. The roads in the mountains were narrow. We stayed over night in a small town somewhere - We had no idea of the name of the town or how far it was from Chengdu. We only knew, that our back and our knees were hurting from about 10 hours driving through the mountainious landscape.

Huang Long is about 100km away from JiuZhaiGou Vally, but it is the nearest airport to JiuZhaiGou. Therefore if you happen go there by plane, then the first place should visit is HuangLong. The Mountain is seal during the winter time due to snow, but it is open in other seasons. You should take the cable car up to the top of the mountain. Then you can walk down the mountain by foot. The views are just beautiful all way down.
