Jiuzhaigou Paradise Grand Theatre: Tibetan Cultural Show

The Tiebtan Cultural Show was included as one of our optional tour.The show is held at the Jarpo Grand Theatre of Jiuzhai Paradise.We learnt that "Zha Xi De Le" means welcome in Tibetian language.It was a nice cultural show entitled Dreamland Journey with all the actress and actors who are the decendants of Tibet. These handsome guys and beautiful ladies performing a 90 mins musical. It is worth watching if you have nothing to do at night in Jiuzhaigou. Our ticket was priced at 180 Yuan where we have the VIP seats at the 2nd row middle section (B Section).

Join the locals for a dance. We see different group of people gather together at nite for some folk dancing on the street. In fact there were many different groups dancing to different tunes. I guess this is a nightly event for the locals after dinner. The underground pass has some shops selling bags, suitcases, soft toys, long john and blankets to prepare for the cold winter. The locals will watch a TV together over a cup of chinese tea. The night view from the hotel room is colorful with purple, green, yellow, orange neon lights.

Cultural shows and Dances of the Tibetan n Qiang Minorities.Song ,harvest and other seasons dances,tribal marriage rituals etc.Participants from the crowd vying for a tibetan bride thru tug of war,kneeling down backside to backside!These tribes are animists in belief and their lives revolves around songs n dancesThe show cost yuan 180 per person starts at 7.30 om and lasted one n the half hours.We booked in the morning through our cab driver(licensed cab) at a discounted price of yuan 120(Full prc 180 yuan).He pick us up from Sheraton to the venue(abt 10 mins away,fare 7Yuan) and manage to get us good seats.on arrival ,we were welcome with a white silk shawl ,the tradtional gesture.The singers have powerful and deep voices ,probably from the practice of singing from one hill to the next hill.Also they must have healthy lungs living in such high attitudes.The songs n music were stirring n...
