This natural reserve is located in the remote and mountainous western part of Sichuan and is one of China's best kept secrets. Even today, tourism is still not well established here, which is good because you get to experience things in their natural environment.
It is even not mentioned in Lonely Planet: In Zigong in Sichuan province there is one of the best Dinosaur sites of the world. Excavations and skeletons can be seen in a museum. Not far from the museum in the suburbs of Zigong you can also see pollution at work: black smoke and every breathe burns.
There are many roadside stores along the roads of Sichuan which are worth stopping and buying some goods e.g. fresh and delicious fruits.
You can try some trekking in Sichuan, such as mountainous regions to the West or the Aba county in the North.
