When you volunteer at the reserve, you will be tempted to feed and pet the pandas. Do NOT do this unless instructed to do so by one of the workers! Pandas are still wild animals, as one volunteer found out a while ago who apparantly lost some fingers!
I myself was grabbed by a panda, but I was not hurt! You won't be either, so don't let this make you hesitant to go-- its completely safe, but remain supervised.
