This amazing wooden building was built in 1907 and houses a stage for opera performances. It's located near the Drum Tower in the Old Town and is well worth a visit.

This church lies in the Old Town near the Drum Tower along Gulou Dongjie. It was built in 1934 but I don't know its name.

This memorial, located along the main Nanjing Road, commemorates the 23,938 people who were killed by the 7.8 magnitude Tang Shan earthquake that hit the area in 1976.

The Astor House Hotel was founded in 1863 and was the first foreign-invested grand hotel in China. Sun Zhongshan and former U.S. President Hoover have both stayed here.

The Belgian Consulate opened in 1867. This building was built in 1922 as the office building for Banque Belge Pour L'Etranger who rented some of the offices to the Belgian Consulate.

The Tianjin branch of the City Bank opened in 1916 and was responsible for the balance of American exports to China. The building was constructed in 1921 but closed in 1950.

The Tianjin branch of the Sino-Russian Bank opened in 1896 and then was closed in 1926. This two-storey wood and brick building was constructed in 1900 in typical Russian Classical style.
