I am usually not very fond of these local folklore shows for tourists, but there was really not much more to do at night in Turpan, and it was included on the tour, so there we went. The show was not bad, and the place was nice and cool on the hot Turpan summer night. We had a nice time after all...

Q: When is the best time to visit Turpan? I would love see the grapes fruit ripening and harvest them.

A: I know little about that area but they do have their grape festival in August.
