Favorite thing: Yengisar town obviously has so many blade knife shops, you can't miss the shops, its on the main street, its part of their cultures I supposed, I saw kids already learnt how to sharpen the blades on street. These shops were almost all belonged to the Uyghur Muslim peoples, they could speak national language mandarin but reluctant yet heavy accented. Blade sellers mostly were males, probably because they are Muslims, females usually not in the shops. If you are travelling with train, forget about buying blades, its illegal to carry such things, unless you hand carry when entering the railway station, but better don't try.

Favorite thing: The restaurant lady owner told me something quite interesting, it was about the Han and Uyghur thing. When I asked her why she came to Xinjiang province to make a living, she replied that the country is everywhere for her to reside, why bother about the peoples, furthermore they (Uyghurs) have to speak our language.

Favorite thing: I saw this big piece of banner on almost any towns, to educate peoples about birth control. Looks like they quite serious about this topic, but don't ask my opinion on this, too complicated to give answer.
