You can approah the Hutiao Xia (Tiger Leaping Gorge) from either Daju or Qiaotou. We started from Qiaotou, took the upper trail down to the other end of the lower trail, hitch hiked on a "wagon" truck from that point to Daju, then back to Lijiang while stopping by (along the way) to ride the cable car at Maoniuping (Yak Meadow).
