Just a note- they don't want anyone doing anything other than pee in their toilet. They made a big deal of this, for some reason, so I thought I'd mention it here too. It's important.

Nice restaurant with pretty good food in the local Naxi style... "Hanified" with grease and MSG, no doubt, but still pretty good. The baba, local Naxi bread is good and greasy!

There are some places in town that make taffy... I never got a chance to have any, but it looked cool.

The fruit isn't washed, but it's fresh. I'd recommend the peelables, but I must say that the strawberries are some of the best I've had.

Don't know if they were open... we got there before many of the tourists did. Whatever the case, the fuzzy image is of the restaurant...

Again, I didn't go in, but they have a rooftop bar, which sounded interesting, and with such a name, I have no doubt it is!

If grubs are not what you fancy, then tuck into a safer dish of beef noodles at Lijiang. It's hearty, savoury and delicious, a true balm for the soul on a cold Winter's day.
