Buses to and from Kunming are between 11 and 15 hours (I think my bus hit more traffic than usually since it was a holiday). It costs around 140Y. Up the valley it is four hours to Fugong, 9 hours to Gongshan, and there is one direct bus a day to Bingzhongluo at 11 hours. To Baoshan it is around 4 hours, and Dali (Xiaguan) is between 4 and 8 hours (why the large range? I don't know).
