Despite the horror stories that you read on the internet, there is good food to be had in Qiaotou. Damm good Sichuanese food, as a matter of fact.
The Sichuanese eatery that serve these delicious dishes is tucked away in a quiet little lane behind the main road. We had several dishes for about 60-70rmb and I'll recommend the following:
Catfish Curry - Soft, succulent fish cooked in a tangy stew.
Wind-dried Yunnan Ham fried with with Spring Onions - The ham slices were cut generously and stir-fried with tender spring onions.
