The Bearnaise style architcture is really striking in the area to the north of Wuluohe...actually it's probably closer to Luoping.
The French had considerable influence in the Red River valley at the beginning of the 2oth Century. Is it possible that this style of architecture came with them, or did it develop indigenously?
Oh and note the palm that manages to survive here despite the altitude!
