I was freezing on the back of a motorcycle and I needed more warm clothes while touring China..... YIKES....and I had a heck of a time finding warm shoes (or any shoes) that would fit my size 10 feet in many parts of mainland China.
There were times shop owners just stared in horror at the size of my feet......
Some shops even in the fine shopping Centers would laugh out loud and wave their hands in disbelief that I would be able to wear anything in their store.
Best to buy clothes in Shanghai where the Chinese are more familiar with large westerners.
Luckily I had brought some large plastic bags to tie around my tennis shoes/feet to keep me from getting frost-bite. All in all I had a marvelous time learning and living in China.

What to buy: I enjoyed the smoked ham in Jinhua.
What to pay: The prices were very reasonable but you are expected to barter a long time with grace and a smile
