Those people at the beach really know how to make money!!! They charge for everything.
30 RMB per hour for umbrella rental
15 RMB per hour for chair (each) rental
50 RMB deposit
And this is the "Rental House" where they keep rental boats etc.

The beach (the only beach on the island) is pretty easy to find. There are a lot of buses/taxi going from the pier to the beach. The fare we paid was about RMB 4 per person.
The beach is pretty nice, especially on a hot summer day. It is too bad that there are no beaches in the Shanghai area. It was not a short trip for us. But it was a very fun trip.
