We took a combination of 3 to 4 boat rides, 2 taxis, 2 buses, to travel from Shanghai pier to Taohua Island. We had a very busy 28 hours (from 8am Saturday to midnight Sunday)
Our last bus/boat was very interesting. First we got on a bus. Then we slowly drove to the pier. And before we knew it, our bus drove inside a boat and parked there. We were asked to leave the boat until we reached another pier (sorry, can't remember the name). So we ended up with one more boat trip!! When we arrived, we got back on the bus and continue our 'road trip'.
