This is great, seeing is beleiving as you capture the size of the bamboo mountains from 928 meters and take in the upper reservoir of the Tianhuangping pumped storage power station. Hire yourself a bike and take a ride around.....just great!!!

Bring your walking legs to this special spot and be rewarded with the beauty of this nataural scenic spot with it's hidden waterfalls on many levels as you climb your way up, up, up and up......lol
On some levels we even found drink vendors, how lucky is that? we did not complain at what they charged for bottled water......... it was required!!

Another bring your walking legs as you will need them on the this mountain walk. Although not too long there are many tracks and metal stairways to climb, do be careful! There are also quite a number of waterfalls and some great scenery so enjoy as we certainly did!

The many rivers in Anji provide ample water for river rafting and is a must do when visiting! The two man raft's are great fun which will get you wet...lol, but there are hot showers once you are bused back to the start. Compared to NZ rafting this would be a grade 2-3, so it is quite safe and they do have staff controlling the more steeper drops....give it a go!!!

In Hangzhou there is a tourist center adjacent to the Hangzhou stadium. Any of the hotels can direct you there. The tours are reasonable - not excellent- good news is that there are many selections; bad news: they will waste time at captive shopping places in addition to the posted tour locations.
When going have your hotel write your preferred itinerary in Chinese; the tourist center is primarily oriented toward Chinese speakers.
Also check directly at your hotel; there may be additional possibilities.

Hang Zhou is a city built along Lake Xi Hu.
During Southern Song reign, after Mongolians took over the northern capital of Beijing, Hang Zhou once the southern capital. Even the local dialect has some 'eR' trait inherited from Beijing accent.

When we arrived at the World of Bamboo, the first thing that came into our sight was this huge poster. Recognize it? There were pics from the movie "Crouching Tiger & Hidden Dragon". Wow.. I was there!!

This is of course also one of the spots where the movie was made as you can see the name of it. I really love this place. However, a lot of hiking to do and tiring.. but very worthy since all the way up you can see a lot, yes, A LOT of waterfalls... They are in different shapes and length.. Some was like a long dragon, some like the beard of the dragon... That's why it is called Hidden Dragon since you can find so many "dragons" in this mountain.
