Favorite thing: When visiting Yaolin Wonderland make sure you also don't miss a special gallery called "The Yaolin Myth World Show Palace". it is actually a part of the Yaolin Cave and is located inside the cave. It just requeres an additional fee of 35 RMB. In the 3rd hall (the biggest) after you pass the Buddist Temple you'll notice a small underground water passage to another galleries, board the boat and sail through the passage to the Ancient Chinese Mythology World.
Fondest memory: In the spacious 4th to 6th halls of Yaolin Wonderland, 300-odd immortals from more than twenty myths and legends, such as Nuwa Patching the Skies and Houyi Shooting Down the Nine Suns, are displayed through lifelike modern audio-animatronics, complementing the beauty of the stalamites in the other three halls of Yaolin Wonderland and adding a touch of mythological taste.
I had no chance to see the audio and lights in these halls, probably because it was not working and it looks like it is abandoned for quite long time. But still, it is even more fun to browse these halls with the latern and find figures from ancient mythology, dragons and other scary characters. This is amazing!!!

Favorite thing: Probably the top attraction site for Tonglu will be the Yaolin Cave located some 30km from the city in a park called Yaolin Wonderland. It is a group of limestone caves formed by corrosion through the ages. The cave is rated as one of top ten attraction sites in Zhejiang Province and also is ranked as 2nd on the list of newly developed natural scenic spots among the "40 Best Tourist Resorts" in China. The way I see it, in China they will rate any attraction and name it "top of the...", "highest, biggest..., oldest...", "number 1 in..." So, do not pay much attention to these clasification they advertise. Still this cave is worth visiting! It is really worth seeing...
Fondest memory: I esspecialy enjoyed the magnificant views of the cave, since it is all lighten up in different colours. Just take a look at the pictures!
Also there are chinise style red lamps on some alleys - this look nice! It also hosts: " The Yaolin Myth World Show Palace" with hundreds of statues from Chinese Mythology. There is a Budist Temple in the 3rd hall and you can have a short boat trip.
Yaolin Wonderland streches one kilometer in depth and covers an area of 28,000 square meters.

Favorite thing: The truth is there are not that many things to see in Tonglu. It is just another provincial city in China, still there are nice places around Tonglu. But since you are in the city, one of most "impressing" things to see will prbably be the People's Square. That is waht amazes me in China - every city, even small one will have a huge People's Square with nice architecture and big ground.
I checked on Google Earth snapshots of Tonglu and out of all gray buildings you can easily notice the People's Square. I'll see, maybe I can this satelite image snapshot later.

Tonglu - a small unknown provincial town in Zhejia
The top attraction in Tonglu will defenetly be the Yaolin Cave and is located some 30 km from the city itself. This is one thing you should not miss when visiting Tonglu.
