The most common mean of transportation around Tonglu will be the bus. That is in case you know where you going and what bus to take, otherwise don't bother, unless you speak Chinese.
A better option for short distance will be motor-pedicabs and for longer distance - taxi's.
The bus fare will depend on the distance you're traveling and the type of the bus, ranging from 1 RMB to 2,5 RMB (let's say from Yaolin Village to North Bus Station).

There are not that many taxi's around Tonglu, so you'll have to wait till you catch one. For long distances this is what you have to choose. Make sure you getting into a good/new taxi, cause there are some taxi's which are quite old and slow.
A taxi to Yaolin Wonderland (the top attraction in Tonglu) from city center will cost you around 80 RMB. It is quite faraway, about 30km.

The only public mean of transportation to Tonglu will be by bus. (there are no trains, no planes around here :). Although there might be boats, yeah, I think for sure there should be boats on Fuchun River, but I know nothing about them. If there are any, should be from/to Quzhou up the river and Hangzhou down the river.
Anyway, BUSES. Since most probably you will be travel to the city of Tonglu from somewhere near, the bus will be the easiest choise. It will take around 1,5 hours to get in here from Hangzhou on a highway. The bus from Hangzhou will cost you 26 RMB. You might also consider taking a taxi from Hangzhou, but that will be quite expensive. So - just take the bus!

This is the way of getting around and having fun at the same time. I always enjoyed this type of transportation. It is good for short distances and you get to feel the rythm of the city.

Tonglu - a small unknown provincial town in Zhejia
The top attraction in Tonglu will defenetly be the Yaolin Cave and is located some 30 km from the city itself. This is one thing you should not miss when visiting Tonglu.
