For lovers of everything stamps - Christmas Island (with the Cocos (Keeling) Islands and the Australian Antarctic Territory) are only 3 places in Australia that issue their own stamps, thus making the stamps rather unique and thus collectible.Drop by the Post Office and load up on Christmas Island stamps.Christmas Island has an unique postmark as well....featuring none other than of course, the crabs!(Australia stamps can also be used on the island) Stamps and everything related Depending on what you're buying

There I said it. I dare say that most Singaporeans won't be coming here in a big hurry after realising the lack of chances to flex their shopping muscles and bringing glory to both nation and people.Shops are more or less confined to The Barracks down at Settlement, next to the Customs Building - there are 2 giftshops, 1 pharmacy, 1 travel agency, 1 fishing gear shop, 1 beauty shop and lastly 1 shop selling mainly surf and casual apparel. (There is a small giftshop inside the departure hall of the airport)There are 2 dive shops, 1 operating out from behind the apparel shop at the Barracks and another, from a building, 2 blocks down from the VQ3 Lodge.There is a supermarket opposite the Christmas Island Visitor Centre, while there is 1 grocery shop up in Poon Saan and another in Kampong.(NOTE: Please check the expiry dates of the food items you're buying - I have found expired products on...
