Places to eat in East Timor

managed to come across this tiny weeny javanese warung when passing the TT (telcom timor). saw some local inside, reckon it won't be too expensive having spent usd$36 in golden star restaurant...
well, it is indeed CHEAP. mien's nasi goreng cost $1 and my rice with chicken, veg and even a soup cost $1 too. throw in 20cents for warm tea and free flow of plain water ;-).
there was a blackout while we were eating but we carried on anyway, too bad the radio died on us..it was playing peter pan's songs..i was singing along with this guy sitting opp me, watching his gf eating....
anyway, replaced by the lovebirds were andik and his frd lokman from sby. turned out that owner (mas nasi goreng) also from sby. able to hit off with these guys straight away...
the food is not bad considering it is cheap ;-)

but then , andik and frd only pays 50 cents...

Favorite Dish: their specialty is bakso. but i dun take beef so i orderd nasi putih with ayam goreng and veg. mien's said her nasi goreng was nice.. if you dun mind the warung being next to a rubbish dump (cant smell lar) and the slightly dark warung, it is actually worth yr $$ ;-)
at least alternatively to expensive chinese restaurants and instant noodles....

Specially Portuguese food! Best and cleaner restaurant in town.
