Mostly the local people is farmer, Kangkoong.
East Timor it called crocodile country too, cos of the legend how this island from....and from the hill we can see where the Jesus statue land look like the crocodile head ....
On the other side, you will see the mountains in gradual tones. Timor-Leste is a very mountainuous country. However, I do not have the chance to explore the mountains when I was there.
Timor Leste is celebrating its second anniversary as an independent country this May, there will be several cultural events and happenings all over the island.
You normally arrive to Timor via the airport of Dili, so don't miss the chance to visit the best beach near the capital, pluss the Jesus statue, maybe the only Indonesian legacy worth preserving...
