    The Lengendary Bruce Lee

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Bruce Lee is a legendary hero of martial arts in Hong Kong movie modern history.

His name has been immortalized by all avid kung fu movie goers around the world with his series popular movies that are seen not only in Asia but in North America and Europe.

His untimely death was a loss but Bruce Lee has inspired many others like Jackie Chan and Jet Li to follow his footstops in bringing Chinese martial arts not only to the film industry in East Asia but around the world.

A statue of Bruce Lee is a major attraction at the Avenue of Stars at Cultural Centre promenade overlooking Hong Kong Victoria harbour.

    Space museum

Favorite thing: HK space museum and science museum
We enjoy going to space and science related museums and after reading about this in the Lonely Planet guide we decided to check it out. We went there on a Wednesday and there was no entrance fee. We were hoping to find a planetarium at the space museum but it seems like there were only shows (that we had already seen) in the big globe. The museum itself was not great but it was interesting. And they do have some hands-on stuff so that kids don’t get too bored walking around. The space museum is located on the tip of Kowloon (at the harbour).

Fondest memory: After we had been to the space museum we walked over to the nearby science museum (Tsim Sha Tsui east). Once again we found a museum that was OK with quite a lot of hands-on exhibits. The only problem was that there were quite a lot of stuff that was out of order or being refurbished

Favorite thing: So, once you step out from the ferry, you will actually find yourself on a mainland, the same one where the China is, not too far away! :-) But stick to this place for awhile, as you will find yourself in another crowdy part of Hong Kong, Kowloon! Lots of luxurious hotels, quite expensive shops and lots of people in the streets! Next to the pier is this museums and monuments complex, of which here on this pic you can see the Space museum, this half-sphere shaped building!

Clock tower at the Waterfront Promenade, Hong Kong

Fondest memory: The promenade stretches from Hung Hom station to the Star Ferry pier in Kowloon. The view of the island's city lights at night from here is only second to that from the Peak.
An excellent place to be with your loved one.

    Clock Tower

Favorite thing: The old clock tower is located in Kowloon near the waters edge... It kind of stands out like a sore thumb...it doesn't really match in with the rest of the buildings but looks good all the same...

Favorite thing: Head to the Tsimshatsui waterfront next to the Cultural Center for a panoramic view of Hong Kong.

Fondest memory: It's even better at night and in color!
