Favorite thing: Take the Star Ferry between the Island and Kowloon. Walk up the Golden Mile (Nathan Rd) in Tsimshatsui; Head over to Lantau Island for a change in tempo. Find a Hakka restaurant for Camphor Duck and 'Iron Tea'. Ride the subway and people watch (not at rush hours). Go to one of the nightclubs catering to the large number of Philippine Nannies. Fabulous music and smiles all around you.
Fondest memory: Food, food, food. Nightlife.

Favorite thing: Stay away from the typical tourist circuits! Hong Kong is such a vibrant place with so much to do - who needs to be herded around like sheep. Easy to explore and plenty of great people to help make suggestions. Be sure to spend time checking out the small shops and markets, particularly in the Tsim Sha Tsui area of Kowloon (watch out for ripoffs on Nathan Road) and Temple Market on HK Island.
Fondest memory: was the people. Culture, politics, geography, lifestyles, are so rich and diverse, yet everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Taxi drivers will make you feel at home if you are from Chicago or New York.

Fondest memory: Well I guess its home now so I miss my own space when I'm away. I miss my friends and I miss my computer but I can't say that I love Hong Kong nor do I particularly like it - however its giving us financial stability for the future and right now its a great place to be with the kids -just the climate means we can do things we wouldn't if we were in the UK.

Favorite thing: Join the street party on Nathan Road on Christmas Eve! Never in my life have I ever
seen so many people and everybody is happy.
Fondest memory: Fond memories every time I saw something new. From Central to N.T. to the north,
Hong Kong was amazing. The school children in their uniforms were cute.

Favorite thing: wow...I lurve Hong Kong! I've been there twice and both times I absolutely enjoyed myself! The wheather was perfect in December and I remember getting up to The Peak at 10pm at night..it was freezing and the wind was about to take my head off, it was that strong! I felt like I was on top of the world. And looking down at all the lights and knowing that the city was alive even from this distance...it was breathtaking...I could even see the race track down below which had a full house that night and I could hear the announcer calling out the horses' names as the raced to the finish line...it was enchanting. Just don't forget to take a jacket up there with you. Man, it can gets real cold!
Fondest memory: I miss the December wheather of course. Other than that...I suppose the look of the place, the old buildings, dirty streets standing amidst the newer and more architecturally defined commercial buildings...it gives Hong Kong character unlike Singapore where a lot of the old is lost. Plus with the buildings overlooking the harbour...man, I love those chugger boat rides ;))
