Hanging out with the vivacious and beautiful Virginia (VT member vigi) in Kowloon was a lot of fun... She took me up to Mong Kok district where we went shopping at the market and also stopped to get a bite to eat... Later, we met up with another VT friend of hers, the equally enchanting Ka Yin (sunshinee)....

Siuching, aka VT member ttstella, did a fantastic job of introducing me to Cantonese cuisine and culture during my stay in Hong Kong... Elegant, astute and adorable, she captures the essence of Hong Kong style and grace... She took me out to dinner on a couple occasions and also to Lantau Island to visit Big Buddha... Here she is, pictured at Sweet Dynasty restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui...

    Bilingual Hong Kong Road Sign

Check out the Road Signs. They appear typically British, but with a more exotic twist in that they squeeze in some Chinese letters at the same time.

Although Hong Kong (and Kowloon) is now under the Chinese, it used to be British for decades before that, and many old British ways of doing things still exist there.

It is worth noting here that Hong Kong is strictly speaking just a small island. However in common parlance, the term Hong Hong includes Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories.

from T.S.T. to Mongkok, from CBD to trendy point. from suit to in-fashion. Nathan Road is long which can spend you at least 25-30mins to finish (simply just walk along), you may be attracted by the shops stand along the street and finally you may spend 3 hours to finish this street :D

Temple Street at night - you will have another picture of Hong Kong (actually it's in kowlon, hehe) - food stalls and hawkers and fortune telling on the street...

Star Ferry - i dun know what will happen if we dun have Star Ferry one day. many travellers like this transportation alot to take pictures of Central and Wan Chai and also Tsimshatsui.

Growth and development never end in Hong Kong!

    Weather in Hong Kong

  • Hong Kong has some great weather... months of sunny, warm, dry periods and then Typhoons when you get to stay home from work.
It has one of the best weather pages which both gives you up to the second information on all the elements you need to know as well as all the past weather and seasonal averages.
    Check it out:-

Besides Ladies Street, Bird Street and many others, there is a flower street selling lots of colourful flowers. I particular enjoyed exploring this street since I like flowers :)

When I was in Kowloon, Yin of VT bought me to this lovely big park near the ferry terminal in Kowloon. Unfortunately I could not remember its name but it is a very good green spot in an otherwise concrete and packed city.

Looking at the Hong Kong skyline and all the skyscapers & the Victoria Harbour at night from the Kowloon shoreline (somewhere near the Hong Kong-Kowloon ferry terminal) is a very memorable experience. Unfortunately the photos could not come out but I took some during the daytime and one photograph is attached.
