For something different you could always experience a Chinese Opera. The traditional opera performances are referred to as sunkung opera because they are performed to celebrate festivals or birthdays of gods. Some shows in the more rural areas can last anywhere from 3 - 4 hours to five days. A bit long for the average tourist I think. Some times you will find opera singers performing around the night markets if you want just a taste without the full production. Try the Cultural Centre to see if any performances are on during your stay.
