    Cyber: Nightclub on Nathan Road

taken from the stage at Cyber

This is a great club! The funny thing is, during the day, you hardly know its there! But at night, when the neon lights of Nathan Rd come on, you know. I went with an American guy I met on a tour and we had a blast. You enter and pay cover $10HK i think and then take an elevator (up?) to the club. There are karaoke rooms all around the perimeter and a massive room with dance floor, tables, stage, bar, and 4 DJs. The bartenders, waitresses, and all the patrons were extremely nice, as were the DJs. My advice: only go if you like dancing, and heaps of techno music. I think the DJs remixed just about every song i've ever heard! One of the best nights of my life. Another tip: find someone else to go with!

Dress Code: I didn't see any dress code, but then again, youngsters in Hong Kong don't dress like North Americans. They don't have the hip hop influence like we have, therefore, no need to have a dress code that doesn't allow bandanas or ripped jeans or jerseys. I think the dress was casual, maybe a few hats. You judge by the photo!

    Night Clubs: Club BBoss

    by Ewingjr98 Updated Oct 7, 2004

BBoss is considered a Japanese-style business night club, with live music, Las-Vegas style shows, and many friendly girls. We ended up here at the end of one night in Hong Kong and ended up watching a live Filipino singer and talking to a few of the girls who worked here. The drinks are very expensive, but this is a very nice place and not a bad spot to end a night out.

Dress Code: Wear nice clothes, but they won't kick you out if you arrive in blue jeans and have money to spend.

    Adam playing a drinking game

Local Bar - they play drinking games and sell beer in bottles by the bucket allow you to get pissed and take over the Kareoke with a smile. No rip offs just nice friendly locals of all ages, s.orientation and drunkeness. Also two for 1 on most cocktails all with honest measures and no water.

Dress Code: None wear what you like

Night Clubs: Wanchai bar and nightclubs

Faces have been pixelized to hide their identities

If your looking for fun with your guy friends then you must go to the Wanchai district. There you will find a few blocks full of bars and stripclubs. There you will find many women in the clubs in which you can buy a drink for, have some sexual pleasures in a private booth, or take home to your hotel room for a private one on one session. It is however very pricy.

Dress Code: As long as you have some clothes on your back and money yes money in your wallet or bank account your are a good to go.

If you are invited for a free drink in a night club around Wan Chai and Causeway Bay, don't.
Inside you'll find several girls eager to talk with you while you buy them drinks. "Girl drinks" costs between 200 and 500 HKD while your beer is just 30 HKD.

Found this place tucked above the general Lan Kwai Fong district. Very international crowd. Well-heeled locals and those in the entertainment industry. You'll find many in their 20's, people traveling from Australia, expats from the UK.

Dress Code: Because of its popularity - dressing well is a requisite. But getting there early also does the trick.

This bar is IT! It is removed from the touristy Lan Kwai Fong. It is like a mirror - if you feel friendly and chatty, the place can't be beat. If you want to chill on the couches, no one will bother you.

Decor is cool, a wall of liquor behind glass walls. DJs are ultracool. Staff is genuine and fun. Get on their good side and you can party with them til 6AM after their shift.

They host awesome parties with awesome crowds. Very international and trendy crowd. Start dancing with random strangers and make friends!

Dress Code: Don't try too hard - but going with all black never hurts!

Club Makati on the Hong Kong...

    by Dick_Loudon Written Aug 24, 2002

Club Makati on the Hong Kong Island side. Best music around and lots of pretty Filipinas and visiting civilians and US/other military to dance with.
Great collection of many nationalities, dominated by ladies from the Philippines who are there as nannies. Nightlife generally is loud, friendly, and can be quite expensive. Unless you're Bill Gates or Li Ka-shing, don't bother going to a Hostess Club. The bill will be as much as your airline ticket.

Dress Code: Various. For the more expensive clubs, a business suit is either suggested or required for entry.

Try out the bars in the inner city... Most of them aren't typical Chinese, but they're worth to meet people from everywhere and to spend a good time...

Dress Code: Mostly a bit more stylish...
