Lobby Lounge at the Conrad: For when the Executive Lounge is Packed

by cjg1

I have had drinks here a couple of times. It is a normal hotel lobby bar. Nothing out of the ordinary other than I earn Hilton Honors points on the bar tab when staying. Hilton should really join SPG and Hyatt and allowing non guests to earn points as well. This apparently is also the executive lounge overflow bar. There are reports elsewhere of my experience in this fashion, but it left me with a negative view on the hotel.

Lobby Lounge - Intercontinental: Night Lights and the perfect view

by cjg1

Everyone says you need to go to the Intercontinental Lobby Lounge. Even that 1000 places to see before you die book says it. So that right there made me think one thing. OVER RATED. But rest assured. It is NOT. It was incredible. The way the windows are they somehow magnify and sharpen the view. Stunning. The drinks are expensive. We had one glass each of champagne and it was 50USD. But really. Take my word for it. This place is worth it. Just amazing. I dont know that there is a dress code but we did have proper evening attire on and fit right in.

Kee Club: Ultra Exculsive, Ultra Hip !!!!!

by jlanza29

Hong Kong has many of the world's top bar's and lounges but once in a while one opens up and it's open only to members and those in the know !!!!! The Kee Club is one of those places. But here's the way you get in to this ultra exclusive place. If you stay at one of the top hotels in Hong Kong such as the Intercontinental (like we did), the Four Seasons, Peninsula or Madarin Oriental ask a member of the concierge who is member of the Clef d' Ors at any of these hotels and he'll pick up the phone and get you on the guest list, simple as that. Now make sure you take care of the concierge who performs this service for you, we tipped him a $50 US bill and that made his day and believe me it made ours. There is no other way of getting in !!! And when you find the building with no signs on it and get whisked up the lift to a door person with a list and walk in without a hitch that $50 tip was...

Brecht's Circle: Chill Lounge

by uvaspy

Tiny establishment with very little room to move around, but very chill lounge that plays techno mixes and plays MTV on the TVs. There are sculptures of Hilter and Mao on the walls and the place has a slighly German feel to it, but it's a very laid back lounge. The bartender is very curious of the tourists and if it's a slow night she will come by to chat and in our case, taught us the drinking dice games we saw other patrons playing. We are very glad to bring back 2 games we learned back to the states. Cool lounge wear - jeans are fine, flip flops are not noticeable but dress cool

The Peak: Go to the Peak!!

by Phildagr8

The view at night is spectacular! The Peak is at the top of one of the mountains across the bay. You take a tram up the side of the mountain that is attached by a cable and it's on train tracks. The angle gets to be 45 degrees on the way up, so don't bring an open drink unless you like the risk of wearing it. When you get to the top, there are multiple places to take pictures. Of course, there are vendors offering to take your picture for $$, but your digital should do the same for free! Victoria Park is at the top, too, and worth the walk. There are a couple restaurants at the top, too, including a Haagen Daaz store! Dress warm in case the wind picks up. It does get cooler at the higher altitude.

Mes Amis (Wanchai): Cool place to drink, eat or dance

by Tripack

Mes amis was a good surprise on the way back to my hotel. The name is in french and means My Friends, I learn that two other banchs are located in Central and Tsim Sha Tsui. This place is a wine bar and grill but become a lively party zone with DJ along the night. The athmosphere was friendly and the crowd was eclectic mix with locals, expats and tourists: a good mix!Happy hours from 4pm to 8pm.

the Fringe club: wanna check it out?

by vividvivian

other than the rest of the club, this is a rather clean and good place to go as people all go for music and art. it always get something new whenever you go there because of its various function and you feel so alive there!! casual wear is okay, think twice before you take photo inside as people are not allowed to take picture with the for sale painting on the wall.

Lobby Lounge: Amazing panaromic views of Hong Kong Island

by Gypsystravels

After dinner we decided to enjoy just a few more glasses of Champagne to finish off the celebration. Here at the Lobby Lounge we enjoyed the music softly playing and the whole ambiance. There were a few tables hosting celebrations, dinner parties and groups just enjoying the great service and wonderful atmosphere of the lounge, not to mention the views! I would say dressing, smart, casual!

Yun Fu: Yun Fu

by Carino

The entrance looked really promising, with friendly staff and cool Buddha statues. Once you walked down the stairs you enter the Bar, which is in the middle of room. On the wall, you can watch crappy Chinese movies on a big screen. Once in a while, some disco fog tries to give the place a special atmosphere. Further down you pass by some separates of the restaurant before entering the restaurant itself. It's rather a dark place and very empty... we went there for a drink after work and we didn't see other guests. I don't think this place will survive long.... and don't be fooled by the cool pictures on their website....
