Hong Kong's two theme parks are worth the visit especially with the kid/(s). Many are trying to put one over the other, but they are two different themes of family fun. They may even complement one another. Hong Kong Disneyland is about Disney, its characters, movies and patented rides such as space mountain, it's a small world and others. Hong Kong Ocean Park is about the environment, real live animals and its rides too. So, if you don't have time to go to both of them in Hong Kong, you can select what theme most suits your family on this particular trip. Whatever your choice is, the other theme park you did not choose will be the obvious destination next time around. Remember that these two theme parks are visited best for the whole day, even Hong Kong Disneyland even if a lot of people say that it's small compared to the ones in the States or Tokyo. You have to experience the two theme parks' climaxes, the night fireworks (for Hong Kong Disneyland) and the dolphin and sea-lion show in Hong Kong Ocean Park. They're great, and enjoy it with your family.

If you are visiting HK with children, then a good place to go is Ocean Park. The star attraction? The cute pandas at the Giant Panda Habit.
Other attractions at Ocean Park include the Abyss, the Dolphin show, the areo cable cars, & much more...

Ocean Theatre is another attraction in Ocean Park, dolphins and seals peform their stunts there. Since Ocean theatre is always crowded, so it would be good if you can get to there 15 mins before the show begin, or else you have to standing to watch the show.

Okay! I know that seems to be well known and old fashion, but I must point out that Ocean Park in Hong Kong is one of the most developed and well facilitated Aquarium in the world (another great one is the Ocean Museum in Monte Carlo, Monaco)

Of course, you cannot miss the Ocean Park Tower - a magnificent 72 metres tall tower that offers you a fantastic ride up to its top so that you can enjoy the most spectacular view you've ever seen of the South China Sea.

If you stay longer than 3 or 4 days, a visit to the Ocean Park may be a relaxing alternative to the hustle of the city. I added a park map in the travelouge.

Ocean Park on Victoria Island is the equivalent to a mixture of Disneyland and Sea World. The cable car will cover the hills between the park´s two parts.
