Photo Equipment: See the photo's of some items you may want to have with you IE... Hat and sunglasses, cameras for land and sea, taking pics underwater can be a rewarding experience.

Miscellaneous: Personal hygiene is also important and think SAFE sex, a condom could save your life, and after all the action don't forget you will have to charge your batteries. Keep in mind that not all countries have the same type of electrical outlets so it might be a good idea to take a "plug adaptor" along with you. Last but not least, Tag your bag with something not everyone has, makes it easier to spot yours at the baggage belt.

    Pack Light

by poetjo Updated Mar 13, 2008

Luggage and bags: I only needed one carry on size luggage bag for a week though it was too heavy so I had to check it. Get an expanding bag for your purchases in HK. Remember to pack light.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES and LIGHT clothing. It is extremely humid. You only need a light jacket or sweater for the evenings.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring moisturizer with you. All toiletries can be purchased at any Watsons or Mannings shop while there. They are all conveniently located.

Photo Equipment: A camera is a must.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: There are many hiking trails if you venture out to Lantau Island so bring a back pack and bottled water with you.

I usually bring like this one only!

Luggage and bags: Bring your most important things like camera and a shoes which are comfortable for the walking around the harbor and remember that Hongkong is a humid place so, try to have some soft clothings for your convinience.

For camera, you should bring a digi or those Nikon coolpix, the harbor and the Victoria Peak has a nice photo ops.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Bring light clothings if you're around summer.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: AS far as I can remember, hotels department stores has a complete toilitress. I don't know about public extablishments such as the Street Stores and Must See Places. I never tried though..

Photo Equipment: There are quite alot of photo establishments.

Photo Equipment: Definitly bring your camera, DON'T DARE GO THERE WITHOUT A CAMERA!!. And don't make my mistake, if you want to get spectacular night photos of the HK side bring a camera tripod. Also bring plenty of film but you can buy it quite reasonably there anyway.

    Buy Electronics at home

by gaolei Written Apr 6, 2008

Photo Equipment: Get your memory card at home. You have to bargain gor everything in HK electronics shops. In the USA the Sunday papers are full of good deals in electronics. Get it there and try it in your camera before you leave. It can be very disappointing to finally bargain a good price on a memory card just to find it is a Chinese copy that either does not work, or it is mislabled on purpose to show more memory than it actually has.
