Pack light but take the necessities
Luggage and bags: A sturdy bag with wheels ( not to heavy) as you do have a strict weight restriction on domestic flights.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Best to take layers as the weather chaged from hot to cool just in the few days we were there. ( october). Comfortable shoes
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Take anti histamine and throat losengers and an antibiontic as part of your medical kit . Wished I had some as the pollution brought on a chest infectiuon.
Photo Equipment: Your camera

Bring comfortable walking shoes
Luggage and bags: Leave extra room in your luggage for souveniers. Men especially if you get tailor made suits, you'll need at least a half a regular suitcase space. Normally you are allowed two check in bags. Even if your stuff can go in one luggage piece, bring the other since it can be used for things you bring back.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: It's hard to have a bad comment about having to walk so much, since Hong Kong makes it so easy with super efficient mass transit and escalators everywhere, but you will be doing a lot of walking and climbing lots of stairs. If your not an active person, I would advise walking excercises everyday for a couple of weeks before coming to Hong Kong that way you won't get too tired. Definitely bring comfortable walking shoes
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: If you are from USA, bring some regulars band aids. I noticed the ones in Hong Kong are really sticky and leave a goo. Not sure why, but the ones in USA are less sticky and can be removed easier.

Big shoes are hard to find
Luggage and bags: Lots of Luggage & Bag shops in Hong Kong Markets. So buy that extra bag here to take all your extra shopping home and get new luggage as well.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: If you are a size UK 11 or bigger for men (I'm not too sure what a big ladies size is, maybe 8+) then you will have difficulty finding shoes to fit in Hong Kong. There are only a handful of shoes catering to the larger foot a couple of which can be found in Stanley Market.
For the average size foot you will be spoilt for choice.
S U S (SHOES, UMBRELLAS and SHIRTS)
Luggage and bags: Always bring your back pack with you. You never know when and where you will like to buy things. Be prepare :)
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: We traveled between August and September. Weather's unpredictable, if it's sunny its really humid, you get all wet and perspiring while walking and going around the streets. T-shirt or sleeveless is a must! Don't forget to bring extra. But when it's raining and stormy, then umbrellas come to the rescue. Some Hotel's provide free umbrella but it's better if you have your own.
For shoes' wear the most comfortable. Say rubber shoes, because there's a long non-ending road going around the city malls, street vendors etc.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring first aid medicines for colds, diarrhea, headache, vomit, dizziness etc. Better be sure than sorry huh!
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Bring plenty of extra socks.. and bring your sneakers and flip flop style shoes.. especially ladies.. all the local girls will look so pretty in their little heels and skirts.. you will be jealous.. bring some pretty but comfy flats and so cute looking flip flops..
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Hiking is not often thought of as synonymous with Hong Kong but a large portion of the territory is set aside for country parks. You can find rugged mountains, rolling hills, gurgling brooks, amazing coastline and old villages - all vestiges of a time gone by!
A great variety of natural wonders await you, almost as diverse as the culture and vitality that greets you in downtown Hong Kong. Really! You can make your day even more interesting by choosing a route that will lead you to some interesting eating venues, and by opting to utilize the excellent public transportation services available.
So put on your hiking boots, shake away the stresses of the daily grind, and head for the hills!
