Moorings: Discovery Bay's D-Deck

by nepalgoods

Moorings - American and international cuisine. D-Deck in Discovery Bay is an almost European looking area, where several Restaurants offer a wide range of good and delicat food. It is very nice to sit on the terrace and have a look onto the beach and harbour. Morrings has fantastic food and delicious desserts. We did not have enough time to really enjoy the desserts, as we had to go back to the airport. They have great seafood.

Chuk Yuen Seafood Restaurant: Delicious Dim Sum at Tsim Sha Tsui

by Avya

It's a nice clean... typical Chinese restaurant. It's at the basement of the row of shops along Hankow Road.I think this restaurant is pretty popular with the locals as it was quite packed. It looks small from the outside but inside, the restaurant extends quite a bit. I didn't try the other dishes though they look pretty yummy. Since my sole intention was to eat Dim Sum, we just ordered Dim Sum. Delicious! Definitely not a disappointment.

California pizza kitchen: Pizza!

by bonio

Exploring the food court on Times square and wondering which Chinese restaurant we should go in - chose this one, a pizza place albeit with some local dishes on the menu!Nevertheless enjoyed the food, and plenty of vegetarian options for Mrs Bonio in a friendly and comfortable restaurant - enjoyed our visit here and did manage to go for a Chinese meal the next day...........

The peak cafe: This is indeed a fantastic restaurant!

by symbiont

Food was great, but it was the terrace outside that overlooked Hong Kong that was truely memorable. With the fog and cool temps each table on the terrace has its own moveable fireplace. I think our dessert there lasted 4 hours. I remember brandy and chocolates

Serenade Chinese Restaurant: Wonderful Dim Sum with a great view!

by trisanna

This is a lovely dim sum restaurant. Located on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront near the Hong Kong Museum of Art, this restaurant has wonderful views of Victoria Harbour. The food comes around in various carts. Most of the women, who push the carts don't speak much english, but they are friendly and will gladly show you the buns and over items. I recommend the pork buns, shrimp and pork buns. For dessert, the yellow egg tarts and my favorite the little marshmellow treats that look like rabbits. If possible, ask for a table by one of the windows.

Casa Mia: Italian and French Fusion!

by backpackerbaby

It's a secret restaurant at a secret location, that's why it doesn't have many customers (according to my eyes). However, its food was excellent and its staff was nice. Its set dinner is a good deal for couples. For HK$298, you can enjoy 2 sets of 4-course dinner with your loved one. You can add HK$50 for a goose liver and HK$78 for 2 glasses of wine. If you're the birthday boy or girl, you'll get a super yummy hot chocolate for FREE!Attractive? Let's see what we ordered:1. Baked Oyster with Cheese, Conch2. Pumpkin soup x 2 3. Spaghetti Carbonara, Angel Hair with Calms in White Wine4. Beef ribs, fish fillet5. Red Wine x 26. Coffee, Lemon Tea7. Hot chocolate cake with rocky road ice-cream (free as a bday gift)Including service charge, we paid HK$500. We're very satified for the quality of food and the lovely environment : ) The best dish the Hot Chocolate Cake with Rocky Road...

Hugo's: Hugo's

by geekgrrl

We had dined here in 1977 and had had such a lovely dinner that we wanted to return, even knowing that it would be a very expensive dinner. We went down at 7:15 and were seated right next to where we had been in 1977. This is a very lovely restaurant with incredible attention to service, and the food is excellent, too. We were given celery, carrots, and pickles with a dip with our drinks. I ordered a Cosmo which was served in a Manhattan glass with ice which was really different, but it was good. We had lots of bread. I had cep mushroom soup with truffle, filet with Béarnaise sauce, baked potato, broccoli/mushroom/yellow zucchini. Bill had lobster bisque, sirloin with mushroom sauce, same veggies, a cigar from the cigar girl (who made a big deal of lighting the cigar). For dessert I had a chocolate soufflé which was just okay considering how wonderful the rest of the dinner was! Bill...

Fairwood Fast Food: Fast food chain @ HK

by coolpanda87

As Hong Kong's 2nd largest chinese Fast Food Chain, Fairwood Fast Food feels like a copy of Cafe de Coral. If you are limited in time & budget while you are visiting Hong Kong, eating in Chinese Fast Food restaurants would be much more worth it than going to Mcdonalds or KFC. They are serving authentic Chinese cuisine, so I think you shouldn't waste this oppurtunity to experience Chinese culture! I think that the food quality varies throughout different locations, but the Fairwood restaurants at HK Island have the best and most consistent dishs. Favourite foods include the baked seafood rice, roasted chicken, seafood pot, shark fin with noodles, dumplings, roasted chicken, eel with chicken and rice & other Chinese foods.

Hutong: Awesome decor, food just OK !!!!

by jlanza29

Ok, first thing is first ... Hutong is one of the most spectacular looking restaurant not only in Hong Kong, but in the entire world. The decor is old Chinese, and from the minute you get off the elevator, you see realize that your in a unique place. Our experience was a bit tainted from the minute we walked in. We had 8:00 pm reservations on a Saturday night. We confirmed via email our reservation and again when we arrived in Hong Kong 3 days earlier, but when we got there they told us to wait in the private dinning area for more than an hour, it seemed they had lost our reservations and were waiting for any table to open to give us one. Once seated it felt that they wanted to rush us thru our dinner. We ordered spicey chicken with chow mein and it was just average. Also order Peking duck and it was a bit on the dry side. The prices are international standard prices for a high end...

Felix: WOW !!!!! is the word for this place !!!!

by jlanza29

Located on the top floor of the Peninsula Hotel, Felix has one of the best views of the Harbor. The food is excellent, the service excellent, the view excellent....the prices excellent. I must say that this has to be one of the top restaurants in Hong Kong. From the minute you walk out of the elevator you know your in an ultra cool, ultra chic place. The menu is intresting but yet simple. The waiters all speak fluent English and provide some tips on selecting your entrees'. The wine list has just about anything you want from every region in the world, and the prices are not overly expensive, but don't get me wrong if you want a 2000 Leoville de Cases you still pay $500 US for it. Highly romantic with an awesome atmosphere...HIGHLY Recommend it !!!!!! We had a fixed price dinner set at 500 HKD (about $70 US) per person. The dinner brought 2 starters, a main course, dessert, and a house...
